This is Scripture Roundtable 99 from The Interpreter Foundation, in which we discuss the New Testament Gospel Doctrine Lesson #1, “That Ye Might Believe That Jesus Is the Christ,” focusing on scriptures in Isaiah 61, JST Luke 3, John 1 and 20, bringing in various insights to help us better understand the scriptures. These roundtables will generally follow the 2015 Gospel Doctrine schedule of scriptures, a few weeks ahead of time.
Panelists for this roundtable are Mike Parker, Ben McGuire, Dan Peterson, Bruce Webster.
This roundtable is also available as an audio podcast, and will be included in the podcast feed. You can listen by pressing the play button or download the podcast below:

ευχαριστώ and תודה.
Thank you for launching into another year of roundtables. When you make book recommendations in the video, could you please include them in the blog text as well? It makes it easier to find the books. Cheers.
I can’t thank you enough for doing these Scripture Roundtables. I don’t consider my lesson outline to be fully prepared until I have listened to the Roundtable–you all give me insights and background that I would never be able to find so easily from such a concise and informed source. The members of my class remark regularly that they have never learned so much from Gospel Doctrine and I tell them it’s because “I have people.” haha! I assure them it’s not because I’m so smart, it’s because I listen to the smart people and teach the class what the smart people teach me. Thanks again for all your efforts.
Thank you for doing these. I find them very helpful. I listen to the podcast a week or so before each scheduled lesson and find that they get my mind working on things for several days before it’s time to teach.
Thank you very much.
