In the English translation of Josephus the word adieu is used in his chapter ” Life Of Flavius Josephus” ” I set down the genealogy of my family as I have found it described in the public records, and so bid adieu to those who calumniate me,” He wasn’t french either. To me that show perfectly what Dan was talking about at the end. There is a valid comparison.
