Donate to Interpreter via AmazonSmile Purchases

The Interpreter Foundation

Some of you have asked of other ways that you can help support The Interpreter Foundation. We now have an additional way that you can donate. The Foundation is now a member of AmazonSmile, a charitable giving program from Amazon.com that will donate a portion of your purchases to a charity of your choice every time you shop at AmazonSmile. We hope you will select The Interpreter Foundation as your charity.

AmazonSmile has the exact same products, prices, and features that you normally see at Amazon.com. To get to AmazonSmile, you simply go to smile.amazon.com in your browser, instead of amazon.com. The difference is that when you purchase eligible items through AmazonSmile, 0.5% of your purchase price goes to your selected charity, such as The Interpreter Foundation, at no cost to you. It may seem like a small amount, but when many people are using it for their everyday purchases, it can be substantial.

To learn more about AmazonSmile, please see the FAQ here, or detailed information here. One question some may have is if the amount of your donation from purchases through AmazonSmile is tax deductible. Unfortunately no: “Donations are made by the AmazonSmile Foundation and are not tax deductible by you.”

To get started, all you need to do is go to AmazonSmile, and select “Interpreter Foundation” as your charity. Clicking on any of the links here to AmazonSmile will automatically link you to The Interpreter Foundation on AmazonSmile, and you’ll be able to see at the top of the webpage while you shop that you are “Supporting: Interpreter Foundation.” Or you can click on the banner above that says “Shop at AmazonSmile.”

Please help spread the word to others to help support The Interpreter Foundation through AmazonSmile. If you share the special URL http://smile.amazon.com/ch/46-0869962, they will automatically be linked to the Foundation. Or, you can click here to Tweet this message, or here to share on Facebook.

So the next time you go shopping on Amazon, go to AmazonSmile instead, and you’ll be supporting The Interpreter Foundation. We thank you for your support. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments about this program.
