GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.
GivingTuesday is this coming Tuesday, December 1, 2020
and Facebook is matching $7 Million in donations
Donate to the Interpreter Foundation on Tuesday at any of the following Facebook fundraisers:
- #GivingTuesday Fundraiser for Interpreter Foundation at https://www.facebook.com/donate/2462813754013940/.
- Daniel Peterson’s fundraiser for the Interpreter Foundation at https://www.facebook.com/daniel.peterson.3701.
- Deborah Peterson’s fundraiser for Interpreter Foundation at https://www.facebook.com/deborah.peterson.900.
The Interpreter fundraiser is available now and will remain available through December, just without the matching by Facebook. Matching begins on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 8am Eastern Time and Facebook will match the first $7 million in donations — the first $2 million at 100%, the next $5 million at 10%. The odds of our getting the matching funds are low — they’ll go quickly, and operations on the American east coast will have a distinct advantage — but let’s try.
If you’ve enjoyed or appreciated or benefited from the work of the Interpreter Foundation, please consider giving.
