I had one thought that wasn’t addressed, and I hope someone might have some thoughts on my questions.
How is the church doing today with actively promoting women’s rights?
The history of the church has multiple examples of women actively promoting equality and suffrage. However, today there still appears to be a disparity of equality in the church. Some groups have tried to bring attention to the issues by promoting recently a “wear pants” to church day. Perhaps they promoted it is a bad way, but that push was taken very negatively when it was meant to be actively promoting women’s rights.
I get the feeling that today women activist groups are not taken positively while historical figures that promoted activism are seen as heroines.
