This is Scripture Roundtable 63 from The Interpreter Foundation, in which we discuss the Old Testament Gospel Doctrine Lesson #13, Bondage, Passover, and Exodus, focusing on scriptures in Exodus 1-3, 5-6, 11-14, and others, bringing in various insights to help us better understand the scriptures. These roundtables will generally follow the 2014 Gospel Doctrine schedule of scriptures, a few weeks ahead of time.
Panelists for this roundtable include Mike Parker, Benjamin McGuire, and Daniel Peterson.

You three are a blessing to us all. Thank you for devoting your lives (or at least a good portion of your lives) to “greater understanding” of the Lord’s dealings with his children. I am struck with the universal nature of the scriptures and how they are alive and instructive in and during all phases of our growth (mostly spiritual, but some simply due to age). The bondage and release symbolism has very unique and individual meaning in our lives as we draw nearer to God through His Son. Thanks again…look forward to the upcoming podcasts.
The story of the passover and exodus has always been a favorite of mine (due, in part, to watching DeMill’s The Ten Commandments every year). I thank you for the additional insights given in this roundtable discussion. It has enriched my understanding.
