Thanks! Very thought-provoking!
This is wonderful, especially because it works in lovely ways as a retelling of the creation motif. Do I understand correctly from his assertion around 6:30 to 6:50 that he is making a connection between Eve and Job’s wife as mediator’s for Satan’s influence?
I would say “yes” to your question, but wouldn’t jump to any conclusion from there. I would couple it with a reading of Alonzo Gaskill’s “The Savior and the Serpent”, and ask: Who does Eve, the woman, aka the bride, represent? Females? Or the church/bride of the bridegroom/Christ? Is she mediating an evil influence? Or did she see how God’s plan could be furthered despite the adversary’s lack of strategic planning and vision?
