I love the intertextual insight identified in this article! This is one of many examples of the ways in which the book of Mormon ties the teachings of many different stories together to provide implicit internal commentary throughout the text.
Thoughtful and excellent. I particularly appreciated your capture of the scripture dissemination practices that enabled this intertextual use of scripture among the Nephites. That insight also sheds light on the way religious debate about proper worship according to the law of Moses likely developed among the Nephites.
