Dan, because of your review I am enjoying the book. Thanks. The author does get somewhat irreverent, but because she is an unbeliever it is an understandable position.
This sounds very interesting. And hooray for her unpretentious analysis of what is actually in the Old and New Testaments!
I love that we are in this sometimes-‘middle’, sometimes completely alone position (and I want to say, each time she’s quoted as saying ‘modern Christianity’ believes so and so that’s nothing like the Bible, ‘not us! We recognise this too!’), and that it reflects so practically what is logical and uplifting about the Bible and the gospel that it preaches.
I enjoyed this read and appreciated the positive perspective Dr. Peterson presents regarding the author’s book and the LDS view. Well done.
