Re: reference 5 (as many will note), the citation may have been inadvertently divided into two lines not linked together.
Simply copy and paste both citation lines to a new tab, then remove the closing “)” and “.”
And enjoy!
Thank you. I’ve repaired footnote 5 so that the link works properly.
Yep, it works fine now; thanks.
However, I stopped too soon. The self-same ‘glitch’ appears in Reference #10 and #24, corrected (clearly short-lived) by my ‘non-editor’ repair.
Recently while reading in Moses 6:5-8 I could not tell if one record is being described with 2 different names or there are two different records being described that bear a similarity to the small and large plates of Nephi.
V. 5-8 mentions a Book of Remembrance “in which was recorded… ‘Now this same Priesthood, which was in the beginning, shall be in the end of the world also.’ Now this prophecy Adam spake, as he was moved upon by the Holy Ghost.”
Then in v. 8 it says “And a genealogy was kept of the children of God. And this was The Book of the Generations of Adam.” It then goes on with the genealogy of Adam and his descendants (Adam, Seth, Enos, etc.).
To me, the Book of Remembrance sounds like the Small Plates of Nephi contain “preaching which was sacred, or revelation which was great, or prophesying”.
The Book of the Generations of Adam seems to contain “the history of his people”, like the Large Plates of Nephi.
Again, I can’t tell if the Book of Remembrance and the Book of the Generations of Adam are 2 names for a single record or 2 different records. Does anyone know of a paper, article, etc. that can shine some light on this question?
