Thanks Taylor … my wife & I were studying your paper today … we noticed how many of the consequences for breaking covenant fidelity/ loyalty to God, mentioned in Deut. 27 & 28, show up in the words used in the BoM and the blessing side of the covenant also …
Two examples, One: Deut 28:26 “thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away” Compare to Alma 44:21-22 “…the number of their dead was not numbered… exceedingly great … they did cast their dead into the waters of Sidon … buried in the depths of the sea.”
Two: Deut 28:4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep … thy basket and thy store …7 The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways …The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee …11 And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.” Compare to Ether 9:16-20. “16 And the Lord began again to take the curse from off the land, and the house of Emer did prosper exceedingly …they became exceedingly rich—
17 Having all manner of fruit, and of grain, and of silks, and of fine linen, and of gold, and of silver, and of precious things;
18 And also all manner of cattle, of oxen, and cows, and of sheep, and of swine, and of goats, and also many other kinds of animals which were useful for the food of man.
19 And they also had horses, and asses, and there were elephants and cureloms and cumoms; all of which were useful unto man, and more especially the elephants and cureloms and cumoms.
20 And thus the Lord did pour out his blessings upon this land, which was choice above all other lands …”
Many other examples could be sited …. we’ll be keeping the blessings and curses mentioned in Deut 27 & 28, in mind as we continue our CFMe BoM study this year.

In accordance to the Good Will and Pleasure of God in that He controls His Creations and Governs His Creatures, according to the multiplicities of laws in which He enacts, there is a law, that clarifies this scripture which in part was given. Herein is the Law.
“IF YE KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS YE SHALL PROSPER IN THE LAND””. INASMUCH AS YE KEEP THEM NOT YE SHALL BE CUT OFF FROM THE PRESENCE (“OF MY SPIRIT”)

Very nice, Taylor. It is so important to point out that treaty-covenant relationship. And it is also biblical:
Deut 29:9, “Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper”; Joshua 1:7, “observe to do all the law,..that thou mayest prosper”; John 15:10, “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love”; cf. Wisdom of Solomon 3:9.
