Richard , I was leafing through Interpreter and discovered this great article , it has given me much better appreciation as I read the D+C
I’ve always considered the Doctrine and Covenants to be a highly lyrical book, but it wasn’t until I read this compilation that I began to understand why it has spoken to my heart so poignantly. In retrospect, I suspect that there are a multitude of similar literary devices employed therein that are only hinted at in this article. Thanks for pulling what could be the beginning of a feature-length book into abrupt perspective.
